Select the text object and choose where you’d like the zoom from nothing up to its current size and look to the Effect Controls panel and find the “Transform” option beneath the source text.Drag in a music track and place on timeline.We’ll have some fun and zoom this text out as if this is an old retro intro to an advertisement. You have successfully masked video to text.Set the “Matte” for this effect in the Effect Controls panel to the video track which holds your text object.Select the video clip in the timeline and open your Effects panel and search for the “Track Matte Key” effect and drag and drop it on the video clip.Drag the duration of the text object to match the size.Drag the text around until you see it aligned to the center of the video in the video monitor.Center-align the text, set the sizing slider to 225, and change the Leading to -70.I am using a free font called Henriette that looks like a good classic retro advertising typeface. Select the text object and look to the Effect Controls panel and choose a good semi-bubbly/retro style font like Cooper.Grab the text tool and type out “THE CLASSIC HAMBURGER” in all caps.Stretch the color matte to match the duration of the video clip.Drag the video on on a track above the white color matte. ![]()
